Can you ovulate before egg retrieval?

I've been doing a short cycle and after a week and a bit of drugs had a baseline scan yday expecting to be told carry on and we are on track for egg retrieval the following Friday but they said I was almost ready and ER would be this Monday. I've had my trigger shot tonight but terrified I've ovulated already and there'll be nothing left ?!?!? Knickers are a bit wetter as they usually would be (sorry, TMI), feeling v stressed now ?!?

I went for a scan the other day and one of the things the nurse mentioned was that it's normal to have lots of cervical mucus due to the treatment, and this often makes women panic that they may have ovulated early.

Ah thank you, that has definitely helped calm me down a little. I guess we'll know tomorrow either way ??
