i heard on wednesday that i have been granted nhs ivf treatment after being turned down just because i am single, i got a solicitor and he challenged the local CCG and all his hard work has paid off because he caused a lot of trouble and wrote to several people high up in the chain at my local CCG!!
i'm so shocked that i actually won and i'm incredibly grateful to my fabulous solicitor for sorting everything out for me!!

I'm not bad, I had my 3rd cycle in summer with donor only got 1 embie was gutted! We actually got matched last week so we are about to start another donor cycle with Immunes meds too. Well done for not giving up!

it was against my human rights and quoted which one was, that even if i had a partner i would never conceive naturally due to my fertility issues that were pre-decided at birth and that i meet all the criteria apart from the martial status!

I was just reading this again and wanted to say (again!) how pleased I am for you!

This is also a very important win generally against discrimination. If you were happy to post a thread with a title about IVF when single then that might help others searching on this topic as perhaps some would not think to seek legal advice? Just a thought.

hi badger the GP sent off all the paperwork when i went to see her on Thursday, its the first exceptional funding request she has ever done and won as well, so she doesn't really know what happens next either, so we're just going to have to wait and see, but i will keep you all posted!!
