Hi there
I'm new on here so bear with me .
I'm 23 years old and have a 2 year old myself and my partner have been trying for baby no 2 for around a year and half now with no luck!. I have irregular periods that can range from 6 weeks apart to 3 months apart, I've used ovulation tests daily and haven't had one positive result from them? Anybody else struggling or struggled with the same thing

Hi.
I think after 2 years and such irregular periods you should take a trip to your GP for advice and tests.
Good luck.

You need medical advice and asap.

Irregular periods are often caused by hormonal imbalances; in this respect a condition called polycystic ovaries is a common culprit. Blood tests should be done to both check for this and potential problems with your thyroid gland.

Thank you for your replies,
I know myself something isn't right but a lot of people keep telling me it's because I'm getting stressed out over it and over thinking to much and also I'm a bit overweight so that could be a factor . But I know myself something is not right it's just pushing my drs to try help me figure this out as I don't have a very good doctors xx

Being stressed is not a reason for not getting pregnant.
Obviously being overweight can have an effect but that linked with irregular periods needs assessment from GP and tests. I don't want to even hint at anything here, but the sooner you see the GP the sooner you can get some answers and hopefully be successful in ttc.
If you don't have good doctors, change practise because that is key to help you getting any diagnosis. Keep pushing and don't get fobbed off.
Age is on your side though so try not to worry.
Good luck.

You're stressed because you're not getting pregnant.... Not the other way around. So annoying when people say that.

Go to your GP and don't be fobbed off.

Thank you for understanding it can be so frustrating talking to someone about it who's never had this struggle getting pregnant with my first was so easy no problems at all. I've managed to get a appointment with the doctor I need to see
For next week and I'm not leaving with just the advice if losing weight because I know that's not the problem x

Have you gained the weight since getting pg with DC1?
As excess weight can have an affect on hormones, and pcos etc.
Also thyroid problems can occur after pregnancy.
