Hi,

New here and feeling a bit low. I feel torn, I should be grateful I have one darling boy but I always hoped I'd give him a sibling. He is now 19 month and still moth for me and my dh. :( everyone around me is getting pregnant, I feel awful for being jealous. Awaiting tests from the doctors and a possible referral to infertility clinic

Hi Linny - sending you a big hug. Of course you're grateful for your ds - wanting another one doesn't detract from that at all - after all, it's something most people can do without a second thought, so I'm not sure why there is so much pressure on those of us who struggle to have a second to sit back and accept our lot and feel guilty if we can't. But we all go there!

19 months isn't so very long - you may well get there - and good luck with the investigations. Deciding to have the tests done is a big step. One question: did you have a c-section with ds? I only found out five years down the line that my c-section had caused my infertility as it had caused adhesions in my tubes. I always flag it to anyone who is struggling with secondary infertility in case I can save them some heartache.

There's a lovely thread I'm on with a group of other women experiencing secondary infertility - come and join us if you'd like to xhere
