How to prepare injection.

Today I injected myself for the first time with hormones. I struggled a bit with getting the liquid out of the vial though. The syringe just kept sliding back in and I never got all the medicine out. I want to make sure I do it better next time! Any tips?!

I gripped it with my hands and pushed with my thumb if that makes sense. (imagine if you were to hold a knife to stab someone - sorry can't think of better explanation).
I'm sure the next time will be easier for you.

Yes - I did the same as allchat. Make sure you tip the little bottle and angle the needle so that the whole of the hole in the needle is facing down into the liquid. Because of the angle of the end of the needle, it's easy to end up sucking in air and not being able to get the last drop of the drug otherwise. It does get easier with practice.

You've probably got it sussed by now, but when you draw the plunger out (I'm assuming from your post you're having trouble getting the hormone into the syringe, not out of the syringe and into you!) it creates a vaccuum within the syringe so you need to hold the plunger out with some force until all of the hormone has entered the syringe.

Good luck!
