ivf - will my frozen egg transfer ever happen

Great news that we have 11 eggs frozen.

Timing wise (lab closure at Crimbo) my consultant says that as I will need 4 weeks of medication before hand and still have to wait for 2 more cycles she will book me in for the transfer in the NY. This now leaves me with an approx 5mth wait.

Does anyone know if paying private for the transfer will speed things up?

Totally to throw in the towel now. Next year will take me up to 3yrs of processes and putting life on hold. I have one friend who has just given birth and another due within weeks. It's so hard.

Hi Blackpoollass - sorry that nobody's replied to this. I can't believe that you wouldn't be able to pay to speed up the transfer - my clinic does NHS and private - we didn't meet the criteria for funding. We've never waited for anything - we've told them when we want treatment (2 x fresh cycles and a FET) and the only thing that has affected timings is my cycle.

Hang in there...it will happen. And congratulations on having 11 eggs frozen - do you mean eggs, or embryos? x

I'm sure you can pay to speed up a bit.

I just had a bfn from a fresh cycle. I've got 2 in the freezer. I've been told I can start frozen cycle after 20th Nov, but that is because they've worked it out based on when they close over Christmas.
Good luck. Hope it doesn't take those 5 long months.
