Fertility drugs

Hi all. We are about to embark on our IVF journey and was wondering if anybody could give us some advice on where is the best (cheapest) place to get fertility drugs? We are with the ARGC clinic in London but have been told that we would be able to get cheaper drugs elsewhere.

The required drugs are Fostimon, Merional, Pegnyl, and depending on which protocol I will be on, Suprecar, Suprefact or Cetrotide. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Many thanks and good luck to all.

Good question. I did this and saved a couple of hundred. You may find that fertility friends are more up to date but I will share my experience of 2+ years ago. First off you need a private prescription to take away, or several if you need to order different drugs from different suppliers. I did this as some suppliers were cheaper for some things than others and some suppliers didn't stock some drugs at all. You could try the supermarket pharmacies. Asda are meant to charge at cost but they didn't have everything I needed plus healthcare at home were still cheaper for me. My consultant was a bit sniffy about writing the different prescriptions but I brazened it out just to save a bit. Good luck
