Help with test results

Hi everyone we have been TTC for 13 months now with no success so we have been referred to the infertility clinic at our local hospital.

Ahead of our appt on the 10th of October I was asked to get some tests done i was wondering if anyone could shed some light I'm the results I'm not getting very far with google

I was told to have them done on days 1-5 so it was day 5 often cycle -

Prolactin = 186
FSH = 4.5
LH = 3.4

The prolactin looks great, too high is a problem with prolactin ( like nearer a 100)

Any further info about the other parts anyone? X

Your fsh is good, under 5 is considered good, mines 23 and using donor eggs now

I had a prolactin comeback at 1,000 randomly

Sorry should have said too high is a 1000 not one hundred, typo there!!

Did you have tests at day 2/3 of cycle and 7 days before end of your cycle?

They were taken on day 5 x

I think you need them also 7 days before end of cycle to see if ovulated.

I had a progesterone test which they normally do at day 21 but because I have a longer cycle it was done at day 25 it came back as 27.8 probable ovulation from the lab

That sounds encouraging. May be worth doing day 21/relevant day for you again. my gp did it twice as said could not refer me in our area without: two sets of blood tests and my dh having a semen analysis.

Fsh and lh look good but I believe that if they are not the same it could indicate pcos but I can't remember if its a higher ratio than you have - sorry
