Hi everyone,

Me and my DH after facing IVF after DH sperm tests came back as 'severe impairment'. My DH was diagnosed with testicular cancer when our DD was 6 weeks old. We froze some of his sperm to preserve fertility at the Hammersmith. Our daughter was conceived quickly and my cycles are normally 28-35 days. I'm 32 and, as far as I know, don't have any fertility issues. We have been told that we would need to have IVF as not enough sperm to do IUI (only was able to go up once before he started chemo). We are about to go on holiday and will get referred by GP once we're back.

Any advice from anyone who is or has been similar situation would really be appreciated, particularly if anyone has had treatment at the Hammersmith.

Thanks

Hi Jods,

I haven't been in a similar situation - we have no kids yet and are still waiting for IVF - but just wanted to wish you well. It sounds like you've had a tough time of it, and I hope you get the right treatment. Best of luck with your family!
