NHS funded hospitals for IVF in islington

Does anyone know which hospital/hospitals you can go for nhs funded IVF in Islington borough??
Or how can I find the information? Thank you!

You would get all the information from the gp who would make the initial referral for further tests.

My friend who lives locally did loads of research and is being treated at GUy's.

You are likely to be referred to UCLH, and have treatment at CRGH www.crgh.co.uk/

thank you for your reply. Saw a post dated a couple of years ago. The lady was referred to UCLH. UCLH offerred her 4 rounds of IUI and for the actual IVF, UCLH referred her to hammersmith instead. Just wondering if this is still the case.

I think Hammersmith was where UCLH contracted to before crhg. Islington are not a very generous borough, only 2 funded IVF cycles and they don't pay to freeze embryos. The other boroughs which feed into UCLH pay for three rounds and freezing. I'm based in N1 and this info is from the pre IVF session at UCLH in June 2014. I hope that helps.

one more question. do you know how long is the waiting time in UCLH? I mean from GP referral to being seen by a doctor, how long do I need to wait? and also from being seen by a doctor to starting the treatment, is there a long waiting time? Thank you!

I think it depends on your age. I'm over 35 and they've been pretty quick. I had blood test etc through GP beginning of Oct 13 and gp referred me, first appointment at UCLH end Nov 13. First IVF appointment April 14. would have started IVF this month but need another scan first. it could have been a bit sooner but had to put off
by a couple of months for due to work travel.

did you have to wait for 5 months between 1st appointment at UCLH and first IVF appointment? That sounds really long... Or did you delay your first IVF appointment due to work??

Sorry for asking so many questions. Feeling very stressful. Would like to know as much as possible before making my decisions.
