Diagnosed with Lupus Antiphospholipid Syndrome after 4 MCs

Hi everyone, I've been diagnosed with Primary LA after 4 miscarriages through IVF (first was IVF, other 3 were FETs).

IVF was through Kings in London, the LA diagnosis was through Dr Lesley Regan at St Mary's Recurrent MC clinic.

Been told to get to ideal BMI (need to lose 8kg) and then choose an IVF clinic to use.

Does anyone have any advice on a good IVF clinic to use in London? Dr Regan will advise concurrently during IVF procedure (ie dosage of drugs for LA such as aspirin and heparin).

Thanks everyone Smile

So sorry to hear about your miscarriages - heartbreaking especially after IVF treatment Sad. I was also diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome by Prof Regan after 4 miscarriages (1 was ectopic pregnancy) and i think you are in the best hands with her for the treatment. After being referred to her, I was treated with aspirin and heparin in my next pregnancy and underwent regular monitoring and scans. I eventually had a successful pregnancy and had DD. 2 years later, with the same treatment, I had my DS.

I didnt need any fertility treatment so can't comment on this aspect but I would have said that unless you are unhappy with Kings then I would suggest you stick with there as clearly, the IVF is working and you are getting pregnant. Fingers crossed, with Prof Regan's involvement, the next round will have a happy ending.
