Can anyone tell me... if you get referred to nhs hospital for treatment and decide to go private does that go against you in terms of ivf free first treatment? Waiting lists etc?

Im impatient and want to get the ball rolling but our referral day isn't till sept.

Do you think private or give nhs a try first?

This varies with each individual trust. In my area, it says if you have undergone self funded treatment, your nhs consultant will make a clinical decision whether it is in your interests to proceed with more treatment.
This to me sounds ambiguous.
Sorry I can't be more help, but I would find out what the policy is in your trust.
Good luck!

Different areas have different policies so Jessewalt is right, you need to check.

I know that some won't give you funding if you go private first but some of them don't mind and will still fund.

Good luck :)

My clinic treated private and nhs patients. Waiting times were the same for both so unless you have two separate centres it may not make much of a difference.

Personally I would wait and go with nhs.
