FSH Level of 9.0 on day 3 bloods - Can anyone provide some insight?

Hi Ladies,

I've just received my test results from my day 3 bloods and I have an LH level of 5.9 and an FSH level of 9.0, my GP has said they're 'normal' but I'm worried the FSH level is too high and possibly the answer as to why I've been ttc for 10 months without any joy.

Is anyone able to offer any insight in to these results?

You need the clinics normal range; mine was 9.4 and the upper limit of normal was 10, so I was high but not worryingly so. if your GP said it was normal then probably it is in the normal range (the results will have the ranges). Your fsh and lh are in the right proportions so not likely that you have pcos. Have you had a day 21 test?

I always worried about my highish fsh but in the end I don't think it really mattered. When we went for IVF it'd actually gone down to 7 something. I had a low AMH but again not too worrying as I was ovulating every month. Do you know if you are, have you tried ovulation sticks? We never really got an answer as to why we didn't conceive after 2 yrs as IVF worked amazingly for us, I got lots of eggs which they weren't expecting so the AMH level obviously wasn't a huge factor.
