I spot for 10 days until I get my full flow on day 30 EVERY MONTH!! Why is this happening?!!

Hi all,

So my husband and I have been trying to concieve for 2 years now. We've used 4 gynacs, numerous cycles using clomid femara etc and now I'm on a higher dosage of clomiphene.

My cycles have been regular up till last year when I started spotting 4 to 5 days before full flow. Now it's 10 days before full flow! Can anyone explain why this is happening?

Also my last gynac said to start clomiphene on the 2nd day of spotting but I've read all over the internet that it should be taken on 2nd day of full flow. Please help!!

Don't know about clomid but spotting could mean a luteul phase defect - b complex can help I think. Or reduced it for me.

I was told to start clomid on day 2 of full flow also.

I also spot for several days before full flow, I think its age related but nothing to worry about.
My clinic adviced me that full flow was the morning I woke up with a full bleed and not to count the spotting. Good luck :)

It can be completely normal for your cycle, or can signify a problem. I had exactly the same symptoms, 10 days of spotting before full flow. Have you had any internal investigations? Mine turned out to be moderate endometriosis. Spotting disappeared as soon as I had it lasered off during laparoscopy. Apologies if you've already ruled this out.
