Embryo glue

Hi
This is second round ivf short protocol just been for egg collection, we are thinking of trying embryo glue this time has anybody tried this?

Hi,

I spoke to ivf specialist about this the other day as we are just about to do our first round. They said that they don't use it as sometimes the embryo can get stuck in the catheter at transfer time and this can damage it. She also said there hasn't been much research into it. Hope that helps, someone might come along and say something totally different!

She did however mention embryo monitoring which we are going to do. It basically takes a picture out the embryos ever 10 minutes checking on how they are doing, which are multiplying the fastest etc...(apparently the ones that multiply the fastest are more likely to implant) you can't see with normal monitoring. They are also kept at the same temperature for the whole time as there is no need to take them out until transfer day.

Just a thought that it might be something else you might want to look into.

I am starting short protocol at end of this month and am doing time lapse camera thingy too. Glue not been mentioned so not doing that.

I haven't used embryo glue but I have been looking into IVF abroad and they seem to use it regularly with great success rates. My last IVF failed as the egg didn't implant so I will definitely be trying the glue on my next round.
Tbh I wouldn't use it in this country as most clinics aren't experienced in it though. Hopefully you won't need it good luck

I have been looking into it for a few weeks and it seems the best way forward for me personally.
It's a bit of a pain but I can only afford one round in the UK and I can afford 2 overseas they also do things like assisted hatching as a matter of routine.
It's worth a look but depends on how free to travel you are I suppose. A lot of people have some scans here to save on travel.
