Some advice please

We've been trying for 16mts, now gone through test for me & him, and it's come back my estrogen levels are 11?? But was told these were low :( so this month gonna try fertilly gel & ovulation kit folic acid. Hopefully fingers xd. But the problem I'm having is the last 3 months I've been 6days late then 13days late & now this month I was 7 days late. So was wondering if any other ladies have had similar problems & could offer me a bit of advice please

I am no expert but I can tell you my experience with my cycles. They are usually between 25-27 days, but occasionally I have a cycle that lasts 43 days or 34 days. The first time I got excited thinking I must be pregnant. But it turns out that these cycles I have not ovulated as confirmed by blood test. What day of your cycle was the estrogen test done? Was this blood taken during one of your 'whacky' cycles where you perhaps didn't ovulate either?

Are you getting any further medical assistance? After 16 months and your cycles starting to go funny and your low E2 level, it sounds like some medical help might be needed. Don't mean to sound pushy; it's just that I am 36 (nearly 37) and didn't realise my fertility would be so low at this age already and wished I had of started IVF earlier. I would hate for others to be in my situation as age is the sadly irreversible so I always think getting medical help sooner is better based on my experience.

I had bloods taken on day 2 & day 21 of my cycle, my cycle is normally every 28 days give a day or two. I'm 35 this year & had child in 2005. So I didn't think their would be a problem with me falling again. We've had a referral to the fertility clinic. But don't know what to expect, thank you x

I am the same. I had my son in 2011 and started trying for baby number 2 just 3 months later. Everyone says 'your body knows what to do 2nd time' and I thought it would be easy. I have now been trying for 2 1/2 years and will be 37 in July, with not a hint of a BFP. Am currently undergoing my 5th IVF cycle!

So did the day 21 bloods show that you ovulated with a good progesterone result? I am glad for you that you are getting medical assistance.

I have low oestrogen levels and have been put on HRT to increase them whilst I am on the waiting list for IUI treatment.

Would refrain from using anything like fertility gel or OPKs as they are pretty much next to rubbish when it comes to irregular cycles. DO not waste your money on such things.

This is what is known as secondary subfertility. Unfortunately it does not always follow that if you conceived the first child quickly, the second child will be conceived as readily too. Generally speaking fertility declines with age and it seems like you will need some medical help now in order to conceive.

What were the results of the days 2 and 21 tests?.

You need a diagnosis first and foremost.

My 2nd day bloods were fine, but my day 21 showed low levels. My referral has been sent now just a case of just waiting.

May I ask what the results of the day 2 test were, also what hormone levels were tested?.

All dr said day 2 was good, all he said but day 21 showed low estrone levels

So he did not give you any detailed results for day 2?.

That's bad. Day 21 test usually measures progesterone, was that at all given to you?.

Regardless do not let this person mess around in further ignorance and insist now on being referred to a specialist fertility clinic.

Yep, day 2 & day 21 levels 11 but said summit about should be 30, he filled out forms for referral but have strange feel gonna get sent back cos haven't had scan like most other women mention,
