Sending me back to gp :(

So i cant remember what ive posted on here, so sorry if i repeat myself....Been seeing a consultant chemical pathologist for a few months, i think this is my 4/5 appointment, the last one she basically said tests were done, everything was normal and she would write to my gp, i then queried a few things and she put me on clomid 50g for 3 months which hasnt worked :( So im going back next month and im feeling so depressed about going back as i feel she's just going to say again that she's done her bit and thats it keep trying :( Has anyone been sent back to gp after going thru fertility tests? Was there anything else done or is that it? Just feels like if there was a problem i would be offered help ivf or something and because there isnt, or they havent found anything wrong im not getting any :(

This hasn't happened to me nut I was puzzled that you had been seen by a chemical pathologist rather than being referred to a fertility specialist.

Could it be that your gp needs to refer you to a fertility clinic? Unexplained is a horrible limbo land and does seem to involve a lot of waiting - I don't think they will consider you for IVF unless you've been trying 3 years (sometimes less over 35). That said, there is a good reason for keeping trying while you're still in with a chance.

Im based in west wales in a little town, when i went to the gp about not getting pregnant, he mentioned that he would get me an appointment at a fertility clinic, i'd presumed she was a fertility specialist :/ I just worry about what is going to be said next time, keep trying? 9 years not long enough? I just dont know why she mentioned she was going to send a letter to my gp and she had done her tests, can the gp offer ivf?
