A bit scared to start this thread as last time I started an IVF thread, everyone got a BFP but me! But I am feeling lonely and would love some support as I prepare to start IVF in about 2 weeks.

Shell - why not come over to the egg buddies thread? Although you're in a different time zone (that's right, isn't it) so might not get responses to posts straightaway, we're a nice bunch!

Looks like you'll be a little ahead of me as I'm currently on the pill and will begin down reg on 11th march. Would be good to keep in touch because I think we're both in similar low response category. Are you following a long or short protocol?

resipsa, thank you for making me feel welcome on the egg buddies thread. Will check it out. I like threads with fewer people so I can keep track with who is who so thought I'd start a small one just for while I undergo IVF, but will check that thread out.

Dreamy, your name is familiar. Will be very very nice to chat with someone in the low response category. Can be disheartening watching others get 19 eggs while I get 4-6.

Not sure of the term of my protocol so will just tell you what I am doing:

• Day 20 of current cycle: Start estrogen tablets 4mg daily.
• Day 2 of next cycle: Start sniffing spray to purge my brain of FSH hormone and give my ovaries a boost start, as well as start the injections (300 Puregon & 150 Menopur)
• Continue taking spray to keep my brain depleted of hormones and stop me ovulating and continue FSH injections until egg retrieval.

What is down reg?

Me!!!! Have our consultant appointment on 4th March and should start drugs (can't remember what the process is called!) 3 weeks after! Not had IVF before do nervous but also excited!!!!

Welcome Figaro82. So you will be starting IVF after I have had my embryo transfer (if I make it that far!) and am anxiously waiting for the outcome. Have you been given any diagnosis as to why things haven't worked out naturally?

Okay, I know I was the last to post here but I am going to type again and just use this thread l started like a dear diary and just get my thoughts out to get me through my next IVF.

I have been taking Viagra pessaries as a trial run this cycle before IVF to see if it gives me a heavier period as I feel certain this is stopping me conceiving. I am supposed to take the Viagra until I get an LH surge. Today is CD13 and no signs of ovulation in sight. Not even close to EWCM and no positive OPK yesterday. Will test again today and see. Getting worried that I am not going to ovulate this cycle. Last cycle was only 22 days meaning I probably didn't ovulate. They always seem to go out of whack for a few cycles after an IVF. Please let me ovulate normally this cycle so I can start IVF next cycle and get this whole saga over with.

Hi, I'm just starting my 4th cycle of IVF. The last one was successful and my daughter was born in feb 2012. I'm 40 so keen to try again quickly! Good luck to everyone here, I know it's a very stressful time!

HELP! Does anyone have some Menopur I can buy off them today/ tomorrow? I am in Canterbury I can drive anywhere in England with cash if we can agree a price. I am undergoing fertility treatment from a clinic in Spain. They sent me a prescription which Asda got for me but today the clinic has emailed asking me to increase the dose even though I have explained you can't just pop to the chemist & buy it off the shelf especially when it's a bank holiday week-end!! Pretty desperate as have spent a fortune & will miss my window if I do not increase dosage. Please contact me if you can help a woman take her last shot at getting pregnant xx
