I just had my third round of iui cancelled because of two many follies. I had clomid in my previous iui cycles to. I'm now 8dpo and I feel horrible, I've been getting bad stomach cramps for the last couple of days, nausea and my boobs are really hurting.

I know it's too early to be pregnant symptoms but I'm worried that something about the pains etc...could this be a side effect to the clomid? I haven't had it before but then I haven't had too many follies before. I'm wondering whether I need to ring my clinic?

I would phone the clinic to be on the safe side.

Clomid's main job is to make the ovaries work harder; sounds like they've pushed the ovaries too much and such side effects as you describe from clomid have been noted.

Why did they suggest clomid in the first instance?. Its usually not given to women unless there is definitive proof that ovulation is not happening.

I ovulate fine on my own, I think it was to give the iui a better chance of working.

I think I will ring them, I've never felt this terrible after taking it before!

Thanks for your help

Hi how did you get prescribed clomid? I've been ttc for a year now and my gp told me I couldn't have it as I had irregular periods and couldn't ever pin point when I was ovulating. X
