DH recurrent testicular infections

We already have a 2 year old that we conceived very quickly.
We've now been trying for another baby for a year.
My DH has had 2 quite nasty testicular infections since the birth of our daughter. He was treated with antibiotics both times. I'm wondering if this may have caused him to have reduced fertility. We are awaiting semen test results, but I'm so impatient!....
Was wondering if anyone had heard of this or if anyone had experienced similar?

Which antibiotics were used?

Oh I don't know actually. I'll ask DH tonight, see if he remembers.... Surely the antibiotic can't be causing the problem?

Taken orally they usually do not cause issues, but if it was something he had to apply directly to the testicles then it is possible there was some damage. However it is very rare.
Has there been tests done on you as well to rule out anything?

Yeah I'm having my tests this month. His antibiotics were oral only. I was just curious as to if the infections could have caused a blockage or deterioration in the production or quality of sperm. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. I asked on here to see if anyone had any info on the subject really.
