Anyone else waiting to start IVF? Please hold my hand!

I have no specific question or point, but just feel I need a couple of people to hold my hand for the next couple of cycles so I am not alone.

I have done 4 failed IVF's at a cheap clinic (am in Australia). I can now see why they are cheaper and have decided to fork out more for one or two shots at a more expensive clinic.

Nothing I can do in the meantime but think about my situation and stress, so I thought it would be great to have a place to get my thoughts and feelings off my chest in the meantime.

I am expecting my period any day now assuming I am not pregnant for the 32nd cycle in a row, and hoping to start IVF again after one or two more cycles. Anyone else anxiously waiting to start IVF and want to vent their frustrations at the world with me?!?!

Calmed down a bit now Grin. I had no monitoring whatsoever, back in May when I started on 50mg they did a blood test and because the result was 29 they upped the dose to 100. There could be any number in here! I guess I should probably make a doctors appt, considering this has taken over 3 years I feel woefully unprepared.

Thankyou for the vibes. I am sending them right back to you! Good luck to you and everyone else on here.

Geepers, after nothing for 3 years, suddenly you could have twins! Guess you won't know for sure until you get an ultrasound at about 12 weeks. At least it is an exciting wait instead of a depressing wait like it is during the 2ww every month.

Yes, please send the vibes back at me! I need them!

Hi shellster
Great news in the first scan. Currently have 14!!! Both ovaries the same. Hoping all will mature just need to grow them now. Being a virgin of ivf not sure to expect anymore before ec or whether that's it. Have 6 days before ec. My consultant who's brilliant but normally quite grumpy was excited well for him saying that's great results uve produced lots of eggs lol. Fingers crossed x

Yay way to go hedgehog
So pleased for u x

Congrats Over40ems! I was really worried for you because without prying, by what your name suggests, I was thinking that you are older (by fertility standards) and might not get many eggs. So seven on each ovary? Keep me updated. Will you go for another scan? When will you know more? Wow 14 - whoop whoop.

Hi again Shellster,
I, too, am glad to see you forging ahead - been lurking now and again Smile

And congrats hedgehog! Grabbing some of those vibes for myself!

Well, we are on our first IVF cycle, day 11. Been for a scan today, going to do stims tonight and tomorrow for a re-scan on weds, so all being well, EC on Friday, maybe?

Seems to be working ok so far, although my eggs will not be hurried, it seems! Feel really tired today but thankfully the headaches have gone now and, some mega bloating aside, all else has been fine. Uncomfortable, but excited!

We shall see what happens x
