Can high FSH levels and high LH give a false positive on an OPK ??

I was told 2 weeks ago that i am menopausal even though i'm quite young, 38 after having a day 3 FSH test at infertility clinic. I do ovulate as this was confirmed about 3 cycles ago. I have been using a Clearblue digital ovulation test this cycle. Well, i got a positive smiley face on cycle days 11 and 12, then it went negative and now positive again today on day 15. Any ideas why this might be ? My FSH was a huge 20! Nurse said i wouldn't ovulate. I think i may have but not sure. Could it be that my crazy meno hormones are jumping around so much that they have caused a false positive on OPK ? It does say in the instructions that the OPK is unsuitable for use in menopause, PCOS or if you are actually pregnant. I thought that 'true' menopause doesn't start until a woman has gone 12 months without a period. I'm still having regular ish periods, so i don't think this would be classed as 'true' menopause. Would love to think that i'm pregnant by some miracle and that's what the OPK is picking up! Am i wasting my time with OPKS ?
