What does 2014 hold in store for you?

Happy New Year!

I don't really have anyone to talk to in real life about our struggles so I hope you don't mind me putting it down on here...

Infertility: this year we have an appointment in Feb to find out the results of some further detailed tests. At that point will go onto the IVF waiting list. Unlikely to make it to the top in 2014. In Sept will reach out '3 years TTC' anniversary

Other stuff: we have a lovely new kitten coming to join us in the next few weeks (yay!) and a trip to the States in the Spring to see family. Have a big birthday to celebrate in style later this year. All wonderful things to look forward to, even without a bump!

What are you looking forward to this year?

Paying off my debts. I was reckless last year with credit cards.

Then a friend's Dh died and she had to sell her house. I decided that will not happen to me.

My Dh did say that discussions about his death were not the best way to start the new year!

Well in February (2014) we have been ttc for 5years with no luck and no help as the hospitals have been useless! I do have pcos and been tried on clomid but then nothing further so I'm hoping something gets sorted this year for me!
But we get married in August so I've got that to look forward to :) can't wait!

Would you consider going abroad for treatment? We did - there were no waiting lists and it was cheaper than UK.

A 'change' baby i hope!

We will have been ttc for 3 years at the end of January and have our appointment on the 28th at which we will be referred for IVF treatment. The waiting lists only seems to be 8 weeks at the clinic we want to use, so hopefully will start the treatment by late spring/early summer! I am on Clomid – I forget how many rounds now, but about 5. I had very bad ovulations pains yesterday, so I’m sure it has worked this month.

My new year’s resolutions is to relax and eat healthily. I don’t agree with giving up things! Hopefully both will help with the ttc and IVF.

Non-ttc related I am getting an assistant at work, which I am very excited about! I have had a 2 year battle with the directors to get one, so I’m very relieved. A kitten sounds fun – DH wants to get a dog, but I want to see where we get with the whole baby business first!

2013 was really tough, with fertility issues, my grandma being diagnosed with a terminal illness and stress at work, but I got through it all. Good luck to everyone this year.
