What signs and symptoms did you have of BFP after IVF transfer?

I had a day 2 embryo transfer, and now it has been two days since the transfer - so my embryo is four days old today. I woke up to some mild menstrual type cramping which I have felt a little bit throughout the day.

I know the embryo doesn't implant until day 6 and today is only day 4, but I have read that the embryo emits something to lower the mothers immune system so the uterus doesn't reject it. Perhaps this is what the cramping is all about????

I am curious what other signs and symptoms anyone had after embryo transfer. Did you have any symptoms before day 6 of the embryos life like I have?

On the one that worked, nothing. I was sure I was heading for a BFN.

On one of the two that didn't I had cramping, etc. that made me think something had implanted (chem preg).

I have concluded that symptom spotting is pointless!

Okay, thanks for the tip.

I think my cramping symptom was all in my head anyway. I have some left ovary tenderness that started last cycle and I think the tenderness was coming from there again, and I was just being overly hopeful. I think it hasn't yet recovered from the previous IVF's because only one of the 8 antral follicles grew this round.

You just can't help but pay attention to every little twinge when this 2ww is torturous - it has only been 3 1/2 days and every hour takes forever!

I know - it's so much easier for the men who don't have to feel every twinge!

Indeed! The men (or at least my husband) just don't seem phased at all and in fact, hubby hasn't even asked me a thing about it and seems to have forgotten it.

I wish I could do the same because I know that being anxious and obsessively feeling for every little twinge in my body isn't going to help, but my mind just doesn't seem to want to co-operate in trying to forget.
