Hi NC

I am on my 3rd cycle no luck yet.

First cycle no symptoms, second constipation not fair, the side effect wasn't even on the list third cycle constipation and hot flushes. they are calming down now, I finished my last tablet Monday.

My first two cycles I took the tablets at night to "sleep through" any side effects if that's even possible. It seemed to work though.

I also think I ovulate earlier with clomid than without.

This was quite handy: www.babymed.com/tools/clomid-ovulation-calculator

Good luck!

Hi, I've used it three times (50mg), each time I got pregnant straight away (twice successfully to term, third time - am only 4 weeks in but optimistic!).
It did cause hot flushes sometimes but nothing too crazy.
For me it definitely helped ensure ovulation which was otherwise a bit erratic.
Good luck!

So nice to hear success stories!! Started my first tablet today, 50mg for 5 days. Going for a scan next Friday to see if I am responding. Feeling flushed already but could be excitement lol!

Does anyone know how many days after taking you are supposed to ovulate?

I forgot to ask that at my appointment so not sure if I need to prep DH for a DTD mission next week lol :)

I read 5 to 10 days after I forgot to ask myself and googled it I think mine was really soon after on my 2nd cycle but was really hard to tell!! Good luck

J200 in my case I ovulated around the same time as I would in a 'natural' cycle - i.e. late at around day 19-21. So the clomid didn't bring it forward or anything. I think it just enhanced the 'power' of the ovulation! If you can afford to get some ovulation prediction sticks I would recommend using them every day from about day 10.

Ooh can I join? I've just taken first lot of clomid this month. No side effects yet, except feeling very sick after a few glasses of wine, wh I his probably nothing to do with the clomid!

I was reading the babymed website last night too, and it says you will ovulate 5-9 days after the last dose. But I normally have a long cycle of 35-6 days so I don't know if this is true for me. Anyone know? I will probably use opk stick thingies.

I'm not in the UK and here you can see a specialist doctor whenever you want without an appointment. I think the gynaecologist wants to see me every day from Sunday to scan me and see when I am ovulating at which point I am to "go home to your husband" (Muslim country!) Blush

Good luck to all!

Hi,

I have done cycle one this month too! Took my tablets 5th Nov - 9th Nov. I am at the Dr tomorrow for blood tests to check hormones are where they should be indicating a good strong ovulation! If not my dosage will go up to 100mg for 5 days from the 50mg I started on.

It’s great to hear of people having success and quickly too!

I have found that my tummy is very swollen and bloated and that my emotions are running away with me! Perhaps I have hot flushes to look forward to!?

Since starting on the fertility tests route I have been a little despondent and the possibility of getting a BFP without any intervention, now that we are having the help and I am on the Clomid I am really quite excited, I feel like its possible!! Although I must admit I feel like a bit of an idiot for feeling that way!!!

What is everyone doing about alcohol consumption now that you are on Clomid?

xxx

See above Bee! I'm still drinking, in fact I'm drinking right now! (It's 7.30pm here, I'm not that bad). I'm not giving up until I get a BFP, there's plenty of time for that if I get pregnant. Early on in my first pregnancy, before I knew I was pregnant, I tried to go out for a big night out, but just didn't feel like drinking in way I didn't understand and couldn't explain. So I trust my body on that one.

Now I'm worried that no side effects = it's not working! Confused But I never get side effects. Have taken ADs before with no side effects Or withdrawal symptoms. I'm just hard, me!

I don't drink much either but won't be stopping, am moving house on Friday so there will definitely be champagne (or prosecco lol) Friday night after all the stress!!

Have not had any side effects so far but only on day 2, I do feel a bit bloated but thats about it.

So nice to have cycle pals to talk too :) may we all get our BFPs for xmas :)

I drink a couple of times a week, not loads but...! I feel the same, there will be plenty of time to be sober after we get our BFP's (in time for Christmas would be lovely!) xx
