Try letrozole or wait for IUI?

I managed to get a cancellation appointment for Monday for the Consultant (supposed to be in January so this is great!). I've gone through treatment before (DS now 15mo) and first time round had 6 unsuccessful rounds of clomid (short luteal phase, poor thickening of lining and absent ovulation.) Then after first shot of IUI got my BFP. A Nurse who works there old me they have started using letrozole and that Consultant may recommend this. Should I give it a go or just go ahead on the waiting list for IUI (9 months.) I cannot go on waiting list if am on letrozole so it does delay things. I found the clomid scenario very stressful with months of no response but maybe letrozole would be different?

I'm waiting to go on letrazole when I get my next consultant appt next Tuesday. I've previously been on clomid which makes me feel crazy, I hate it.

Can I just ask, are you getting your IUI funded when you say you are on the waiting list? Just with you already having a child. I thought we got nothing funded for secondary infertility.

I believe every region is different in eligibility criteria and in my area funding is available though not for IVF. I wasn't given the option of letrozole after all, the Dr didn't think it would work given my results with clomid so I am now on waiting list for IUI>

Ooh maybe we might get IUI funded then. I'll find out on Tuesday at my next appointment.

Did you not ov with clomid? I did but still no luck. Feel like it will never happen.

Hope the waiting list isn't too long for you.
