Pls can you recommend me for fertility acupuncture clinic but not expensive clinic and thanks.

Yes. Do it! Make sure you choose an acupuncturist registered with British society (or whatever it's called). I had v irregular cycle for years. Clomid - didn't work, 2 rounds of IVF (got just 3 follicles first time and 1 follicle the second time so whole cycle abandoned). Told by consultant I had premature ovarian failure and highly unlikely to ever had children (I was 34). A year or so later I went to see an acupuncturist (she had helped friend with migraines). After six months (going every two weeks or so) I had a regular menstrual cycle for the first time in years. A couple of months later I fell pregnant naturally. I am CONVINCED it was due to acupuncture. I also took supplements as recommended by Marilyn Grenville (not her expensive ones, just from Boots/Holland & Barrett. I now have a 9 year old dd and after the years of infertility heartbreak cannot believe how lucky I am. Have hope. Try acupuncture and the very best of luck to you and everyone else in this position.

Anyone had acupuncture during a frozen embryo cycle? In the week before ET, when did you time in acupuncture sessions? And did you go for a treatment immediately after ET?

Blueroses99 · 18/01/2017 18:39

I've only had fresh cycles not FETs, but got BFPs twice after regular acupuncture (2-3 weekly) including immediately after ET. I like to think it's helped!

Blueroses99 · 18/01/2017 18:42

I also took the Marilyn Glenville/Natural Health Practice supplements mentioned by susieqoo.

GlummyMummy · 18/01/2017 18:42

Thanks Blue. I've been going weekly up to this point but ET on Wednesday so acupuncturist suggesting I go to my already scheduled appointment Saturday, then again on Tuesday and on Wednesday immediately after ET.

bananafish81 · 22/01/2017 03:17

I did it day of ET and a few days afterwards, can't remember how many

I've let myself stop going to acupuncture as it never did anything for me and no amount of supposedly magic needles was going to fix the oestrogen receptors in my endometrium

I kept going throughout all my cycles 'just in case' and because I didn't want to feel like I 'could have tried harder'

When we do our next FET I'm going to spend the money on massages or facials or something I actually enjoy instead of acupuncture

Different fertility acupuncturists follow different protocols for embryo transfer - some recommend before and after ET on the same day, others recommend after ET then a couple of days later. If you're going to do acupuncture then your fertility acupuncturist will I'm sure recommend what they prefer.

bananafish81 · 22/01/2017 03:27

(I went for acupuncture religiously to try and improve my endometrial lining. Cancelled cycle after cancelled cycle. Cycles with dysfunctional endometrium that wouldn't shed properly. Thousands of £ pissed up the wall on magic needles that did absolutely naff all for me because my issue isn't blood flow (which is how acupuncture is supposedly thought to help)

Through much, much, tinkering with various treatment regimens since I stopped going to acupuncture, we've been having my best lining and FINALLY got me to menstruate. Stopping acupuncture neither helped nor hindered - it was the right combination of drugs and interventions that has finally got things going in the right direction. So I now feel released from the emotional blackmail of feeling like I ought to be doing it. Just my personal experience - YMMV. Good luck!)

GlummyMummy · 22/01/2017 19:00

I know what you mean Banana, who knows if acupuncture is doing anything, but I feel it's worth a try and it is good to be doing something positive (albeit very costly too!)

My acupuncturist says he can feel "blockages" before my sessions which are gone after the session, and to be fair, my tummy feels tender before and not after so who
knows! Plus my lining is the best it's looked for ages (prob down to the hrt) All I need now is the embryos to thaw, with a 3ab and 3bb I am being realistic :-(

Does anyone know if acupuncture is safe during the two week wait?

bananafish81 · 22/01/2017 19:20

Yup - that's why I did it, so I could feel I was doing something proactive

My acupuncturist got me in a few days after ET and thereafter recommended we leave it. Not that it's unsafe just that she didn't think there was any benefit to doing so

My friend had tried acupuncture for her possibilities. Though she was successful for it. Acupuncture can increase fertility by reducing stress, increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs and balancing the endocrine system, according to several studies and medical research. Acupuncture infertility treatment can improve almost every cause of this obstacle.

feverxo · 06/02/2018 19:52

Well, I certainly have heard a great deal about it. Frankly speaking, I don't see what all the fuss is about acupuncture. Some women claim their infertility was cured but that's always a once in a thousand type scenario or could be just another marketing scheme maybe. Stick to science it has a greater success rate :D.

Hello ladies just joined this group n Tanx 4 sharing your journeys 💗
I’ve been doing accupuncture for 6 sessions and 4 myself my cycle has been regular after not been 4 a several months. Not sure when I shud stop?? The person I’m doing the treatment says “until
You fall” Been trying for baby number two (ivf)) for 4 years,I’ve googled so much and who else 2 ask 4 advice from women who ave gone through it. Just wondering if any of ur partners ave also done accupuncture? We r hoping 2 ave ivf again next year 🤞 x

I had acupuncture before and during our successful FET cycle. We don't have infertility problems but are a same sex couple, hence the ivf. We did one fresh and one FET cycle unsuccessfully (no acupuncture) before the successful cycle.
