Scoops76 · 01/09/2013 22:40

My hubby and I are just starting our 3rd ivf cycle (1st 2 failed) and our first cycle of short protocol. Anyone else going through the same thing? Thought I would share my symptoms / stories so far.
Currently on day 7 and off for my first scan tomorrow to see if it is working - will update as I go ;)

Forgot to say have had cramps all day - know it can't be the little guys as far too early but definitely feels like something happening !!!

I had a lot if cramps very early on too...

Oh and I got the faintest of faintest lines on a pg test at 4dp5dt (but obviously my HCG levels were high due to twins). I got a faint positive the following day (5dp5dt) and that was replicated with the word "pregnant" on a CB digital. The line was strong at 6dp5dt (kept testing as I couldn't believe it Blush). But as I said, that was a twin pregnancy so likely to go +ve earlier.

Crossing my fingers that it works out for you both.

Oh and, I must add, I used Internet cheapies to test. And, on the advice of a friend, POAS every day from EC day until I got a -ve so I could be sure that any subsequent +ve was pregnancy related and not the trigger shot. But [ahem] I'm not admitting to that.

I haven't got any tests in the house, well, one tesco cheapie and the clinic test. I think I'm going to wait until 5 October, that way ill either have started my period or (hopefully) get an accurate result on the clinic test. I guess that's why they go for 18 days rather than the usual 10 maybe, to make sure everything drug wise has left your body?

Scoops that post ET stuff is very interesting! I was wondering what happened after that. DH said he couldn't believe I didn't know but I've never dared venture that far! This is all so surreal.

I went to bed at 9 last night as was knackered, big mistake, woke up at 4am from a deep sleep and have been drifting in and out of sleep since then, now it's time to get up I feel grim and even more knackered!

But not getting ahead of myself as a) know it I too early for the little guys to have given me sickness and b) know it is the pesseries !!! Have today off work but back tomorrow until the end of the week and then off on hols for a week o try not to thnk about it!! Are you back at work today?

I was just wondering whether to POAS actually, more to see whether the trigger shot had gone than to expect a + or -. I'm not feeling very positive, my boobs hurt and feel a bit ick but it's way to early for that so I know it's just the drugs. I'm not supposed to test until 4 oct. can't understand why it's such a long time!

It is so hard to wait so long isn't it!! I can only think they make us wait so long to be 100% sure that the result is accurate. Some clinics get you in for a blood test instead!! But I am Nhs so they don't do that.....

We just got a test too. It works the same if you're pregnant. I POAS too and it was negative. I only did it to see if any trigger shot was left in there though really, wasn't expecting to see an actual positive. Ill leave it another week/10 days then try again I think. When's your actual OTD?

Scoops76 · 17/09/2013 21:10

Otd 1st oct might try again next week though as if they have implanted should be positive by then ;) fingers crossed for us both - just waiting for some more symptoms to show up ......

I wondered whether mine might be from the cyclogest but who knows. I did have a good cry at work today which is very unlike me but I think that just been because of the stress of it all!

Scoops and Raspberry - I had no symptoms at the stage you 're both at now. Please don't worry. My first noticeable symptom kicked in at 5 weeks and 2 days. I was on annual leave and fell asleep and missed Murray getting through his Wimbledon semi-final in 2012. And then the tiredness was bone-crushing for the next 13 weeks! I can't describe anything like it. But you've both got that to look forward to Grin. Oh, and no morning sickness until 6 to 7 weeks. And then it lasted until 20! But it was definitely worth it. So, please don't focus on lack of symptoms. It means nothing.

Well not good news this morning - had some spotting so might all be over for me ;( both of my previous rounds I had a bleed after 10/11 days with three day transfer and am 6dpt on 5dt so looks like same again ;( holding out a tiny bit of hope that it is just implantation bleeding xxx

Try not to worry Scoops. Although I got a TWP at 4dp5dt (BFP 6dp5dt), I had quite a heavy bleed days 7, 8 and 9 past 5dt. They think it was either residual blood from the traumatic EC or implantation bleeding. FX it's the same for you and those blastos are sticky. Good luck!
When are you due to test / planning to test?

Scoops everything crossed for it to be implantation bleeding. Hang in there xx
