Infertility

Fertility Clinic today, confusing thyroid results?

I've been trying to make sense of my results, thought plenty on here might be better informed than me!

I've been hypothyroid for years, difficulties getting it stabilised, underdosed I feel classically hypo. Saw a gp a few yard ago who went mad at me and said I was overdosed and brought it down a bit. Current gp thinks its ok now and mostly I feel ok, very tired with a mid afternoon slump but not as bad as before.

No luck conceiving for 3 years. Saw fertility specialist today who said my results were not good. My TSH is so low she said 'as soon as you get pregnant it must come up, a lot, immediately' - I thought she meant thyroxine dose. From Google (yes, I know...) it seems I might be hyperthyroid...

My tSH is 0.19 and Free T4 is 23.7...

????

Can I get pregnant on scores like these? Specialist seemed more concerned with maintaining pregnancy but I understood that thyroid problems can inhibit fertility in the first place...

After my barrage of tests, can anyone help me out?

I also have mysterious non explainable high cholesterol too which might be related.

Advice or good links anyone? Being 'old' (40), with severe endo as well I'm getting a bit desperate...Thanks

Your TFTs look fine to me. You are adequately treated and are not hyperthyroid.

Thanks, my DH who was there thinks she said it must be >2 and I have less that 10% of that now, hence the concern.

So it maybe possible to conceive on those results?

No concern from me. Those results are fine for conception. Hope it happens for you soon.

Thanks for the responses :) There's always Di much to think about on this road. Even though we've just begun down the infertility route the amount of appointments and phone calls has been phenomenal, and it's hard to process all the info.
