Available on the NHS for someone who already has one child?

There may not even be an issue - we've only been trying since August when I had my implant out, which is a blink of an eye in TTC terms I know - but I have been told following day 2/day 21 blood tests that I am not ovulating and now I am frightening myself. I am trying to tell mysel that in time things will get back to normal and I will start ovulating again but I can't help thinking what if I don't.

However, I know acupuncture has been known to help "so-called infertile" women.

I'm 30, DH is mid-40's. We have a 3year old Dd who is wonderful and we are blessed to have her, in fact I feel selfish for wanting another when other struggle so much getting one. Nobody will explain anything to me further than "relax and it will happen" not if I don't ovulate it won't, and "maybe it's something to do with the implant" this was the GP. What are our options if things don't just work? What's the process?

As far as I know there is lots that can be done on the NHS even if you already have a child. It's only really IVF you are not entitled too. They will probably want you to give it a year as you are only 30 and if you are still not ovulating they might prescribe clomid after checking if your tubes are clear. They could also check your husbands sperm. But like I say I would think because of your age they would advise letting your body get back to normal after the implant and then start investigations.

Hi, not sure if I can help, I am certainly no expert and am only lurking on here as my sis is currently doing IVF and I know nothing about it and want to be able to support her.

I was told by my GP that some women don't ovulate every month so making a diagnosis on the basis of 1 month's results isn't helpful - when my Day 21 results came back the 1st month saying that I wasn't ovulating, I had to repeat the test every month for 6 months. Eventually conceived just before we started Clomid. 2nd time, had trouble TTC again and GP referred me for tests again - same problem with Day 21 test but had to go through the whole thing again - blood tests, SA for husband, (both on NHS) HyCosy for me (I did this privately though because there was such a long waiting list). As I understand it, and I may be completely wrong, the diagnostic tests can be repeated because the cause of the problems in TTCing are not necessarily the same. The treatment once you have that diagnosis is obviously limited if you already have a child.
