Feeling really depressed today, in fact felt low since taking 100mg clomid (2nd cycle) my moods are all over the place - irritable, snappy, sad, emotional!

Had follicle tracking scan today, cycle day 11 and got a 'nothing there' on both ovaries. Didn't ovulate last month on 50mg, follicles only 6mm and now nothing at all, looks like it'll be the same this month :-( feel like we're going backwards!!

Everyone says stay positive, it'll happen, what will be will be - I am trying soooo hard to stay positive but today Ive never cried so much :-( and as luck would have it I'm surrounded by pregnant friends.

TTC 2 years, diagnosed with PCO just before I started clomid.

If anyone has any similar worries and/or advice or support it'd be really appreciated! :-)

Good luck to you all who are TTC too

Xx

I'm due to start clomid soon, so haven't been in your shoes yet, but just wanted to offer support. The nurse at our pre clomid meeting did say that it can take a while for the drug to build up in your body; if your PCT is like ours then you will probably get clomid for 6 months, so you are only a third of the way through... a lot can still happen.

Do you know what the next step is if clomid doesn't work? For me it will be FSH injections - so putting the hormone directly into my body rather than trying to do it via the endocrine system which is what clomid works on. It might be helpful for you to know what your next steps will be in the worst case scenario?

Remember, you're not going backwards; with each month you're getting closer to either a BFP or the next stage of your treatment. Good luck and fingers crossed for month three.

Thanks for replying :-)
Got another scan Tuesday so will ask about next step if clomid is unsuccessful - thanks for mentioning FSH injections, maybe that will work.
Good luck for when you start clomid, we have to stay positive - it can just be so hard sometimes.
How long have you been TTC? Do you have PCO?
Thanks again and lots of luck :-) x

Yes, I have PCO...have been sort of TTC for a little over a year but since I haven't ovulated at all in that time I don't really consider it trying!

I hope all goes well for you on Tues - let us know how you get on. If you want a group of very supportive women then join the hut thread, lots of people on there who have been in your shoes and are much more knowledgeable about all this stuff than I am!
