Secondary infertility - can anyone shed any light?

Firstly I apologise if this seems trivial to anyone who is at the moment unable to have any children, I don't mean to gatecrash, but need some help. I'm 37 and trying to TTC baby 3. I've had 3 pregnancies previously, one ended in a miscarriage and I have 2 boys ages 5 and 2. Previously I've got pregnant within 6 months, for the 2 last pregnancies I used a Clear blue Monitor and got pregnant within 2 cycles of using it.
We've now been trying for 12 months I have regular 29-30d cycles. I've been using the monitor for 2 months and it has not yet detected ovulation (and previously it always has for me). Other signs (CM etc) would suggest I ovulate at around day 15-16, which is what I expect and we are "trying" in the week around this time. Does the machine not detecting it mean I'm not actually ovulating at all? Should I be approaching my GP and asking for tests, or will he laugh at me when I already have children?

I would definitely ask for the tests. You've got nothing to lose and if you have been trying for a year you will tick the GP's box for qaulifying for NHS tests.

Hi Attagirl - thanks for replying. Things have taken an even odder turn in that I now have got 'ov' on the monitor at what I think is the very end of my cycle - day 27 and I expect it to be 29-30 days long. Doesn't make a huge amount of sense but if I really ovulate that late and then have a luteal phase of 3 days it would explain why I can't get pregnant. Contacted the doctor at Clearblue and she says may just be a one off and use the monitor again next month. Maybe will give it one more cycle before approaching GP then at least I can say - I'm ovulating really late...
Does anyone have any suggestions what if anything can be done about it if that's the problem?
