Hi all

I am on my sixth month of clomid and unfortunately had not luck but know other people who have had success with it. We have been looking at hospitals for ivf which we will be referred to next month if this last lot of tablets do not work.

Plannedshock - that's great news, I hope everything went well with your scan, how many were there?

Do any of you know if Colchester fertility clinic is any good?

Roseypose33 · 06/09/2012 19:51

Hi

I've been taking 50mg clomid for 2 months then the dosage upped to 100mg last cycle. My cycle is still all over the shop though it's day 36 now no period but a negative test. Recently they've been anything from 32-34 days on a good month! I was on it every day from day 15-20 and ovulated on day 18-19 anyone got any tips!!?

dylsmimi · 06/09/2012 20:00

Hi all!
My Ds was conceived on clomid - 2nd month after yrs of.trying and unexplained fertility and all the heartbreak that goes with it. I was very lucky to have a very healthy and happy pregnancy.
I'm now.pregnant with Ds2. Totally naturally and a bit quicker than expected!
Hope this is the kind of success story you had in mind and it helps.
I would say relax but know I wanted to slap people when they said that! So will just say good luck all and hope you get positive news soon

Hi all, hope everyone is well.
It's so nice to read stories of success about clomid. You can feel so on your own sometimes.
I'm on 2nd month of clomid -100mg and it's not been successful Sad in fact even worse than last month on 50mg - pretty hard to get my head around! follicles were 6mm last month which isn't great and this month - nothing Sad
Been feeling pretty low but am determined to go into 150mg feeling positive!
I wonder does anyone on here get some not so nice side effects on clomid?
Another follicle tracking scan on Tuesday.
Lots of luck to you all, keep smiling Smile x

Bonnie31 - do you mean the Bourn clinic at Colchester? we are looking into that aswell. I am also on clomid - two rounds so far - one resulted in 2 mature follicles and the second 7! so it was abandoned! I am on 100mg but have been told i need to drop to 50mg (i ovulate fine on my own) my husband has a low count though. if Clomid doesnt work then i think they will refer us to Bourn. I cant decided whether to self-fund and start the ball rolling now or wait and take my NHS treatment.
Its so hard to know what to do for the best! aftr 17mths ttc number 1 im getting very impatient.

Bonnie31 · 20/09/2012 23:46

Hi beanyberry, yes I was considering Bourn clinic in Colchester, will should be getting referred at the end of the month! I am also on 100mg clomid but never had a problem ovulating either, we have both had normal tests results so infertility is unexplained. I have been told by my doctor that the wait is about two to three months for an appointment at Colchester which is better than I thought, this is on the NHS so was quite impressed.

Unfortunately today I have received my second abnormal smear and now have to wait for an appointment to have a colposcopy. I have read that you need to have a normal smear before you are allowed to have ivf. I had a loop cone biopsy about three years ago and been having regular check-ups. We've been ttc for two and a half years and being on the verge of having ivf and then to think it would be put back by six months at least is so upsetting. Am gonig to try and speak to my doctor tomorrow and he will hopefully have some answers.

I wish you all the luck. Let me know what you decide to do and whether you pick Borne Clinic in Colchester! x
