I am having problems ovulating and was wondering if any of you have any recommendations for a good private fertility doctor in London. I have been seeing Dr. Sara Matthews at the Portland for three months. She has put me on hormone treatment but I haven't had any success yet. Although she is extremely nice and seems to know what she is doing I don't know anyone else who has been to her which is making me a bit nervous. A friend suggested I see Dr. Colin Davis at the Princess Grace. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Fertility treatment is expensive and desperate to make sure I see the right person. Thanks

So sorry about your situation - similar to mine so I empathise.

Try Dr Venkat at Harley street fertility clinic hsfc.org.uk.

She got a friend of mine pregnant with just one egg. She also got me pregnant first round ivf - sadly I mc at 6 weeks but I'm having FET with her next week.

She is just fab and really knows what she is doing. It's a small and simple clinic not fancy like some, but you will be so well looked after.

There are a few of us on an assisted conception thread over on conception board. Come join us as the other girls will also have other recommends. I think the lister and argc are also rated highly.

Good luck to you and hope you have success.

Keithcairns, I'm sorry but I find that really offensive. I'm all for doing things as nature intended but all the nutrition and exercise in the world would do many women no good whatsoever and to suggest otherwise/ make judgments on those who pursue medical intervention is quite frankly idiotic.

MrsHY1 well said.

Absolutely. My IVF consultant told me, without intervention, we had a 0% chance of conceiving. If you have damaged tubes, hormone imbalances, poor sperm count etc etc, you need the big guns to assist. Without the wonders of modern science, I would not have my dcs. (Sorry OP I cannot recommend a London doctor - mine was in Southampton, but the best of luck to you and I'm sure someone will recommend a consultant who is accessible for you soon)

Mohammed Taranissi, ARGC, Wimpole Street, got us our three children. Rather than just "knowing what he's on about" he's has the best results in Europe.
KeithCairns, seriously, the most helpful thing you can do is sit down and keep quiet. I feel strongly that's what nature intended for you.
