Is it hellish? I would appreciate it if anyone could give me some idea if what she'll be going through.

She's quite a private person so for her to eve tell me about this was quite a big deal.

I'd like to be able to help my chum if she's in a bad way, you see, without prying

My friend has just completed her second round of IVF and is now pregnant, Hooray! But yes it has been hellish for her and expensive. The only way I have found to provide support is to let her know I am here for her and not pry if she didn't want to talk about it. The odd text to say how's it going was enough I think to let her know that I was there if she needed me to be.

Good Luck to your friend. My lovely friend is only 6.5 weeks at the mo and in my thoughts every day.

Yes...it is an emotioanl rollercoaster. We have had ICSI (worked) then FET (failed)
I felt very ill for a lot of it to be honest. Hot flushes, headaches hormones all over the place and then the pain when the ovaries were stimulated....ooooo
But the worst thing in many ways was not knowing of it would work...if you knew it would work 100% it would be more bearable.

I know that I am lucky to have my DD but the devastion when the FET failed was far worse that I could have thought. (It was over a year ago and I still get upset over it)

For me it was having people realise I was a hormonal wreck and then being there for a thinking of you type message that helped BUT the helpful people with their "what will be" and "it was not meant to be" led me to near murder!!! So avoid such well meant comments. I went to a fertilty webstie forum but can not recall which and got lots of online support there from others in the same boat as to be fair unless you have actually been there you can not fully comprehend (But support is still welcomed) I will keep my fingers crossed for your friend!
