Pregnyl shot but 7 day post shot progesterone 1.2... WTF!

I took a shot of pregnyl after doc said I had 4 follicles all 17mm or above but a progesterone blood test 7 days post shot revealed a 1.2 nurse said I didn't ovulate or there was a timing issue! Any thoughts??

Is PCOS an issue with your good self; such injectible drugs are often prescribed if clomid is unsuccessful.

Re follicles I was told that 20 mm is an optimum size.

I don't think this was a timing issue; the progesterone result has shown non ovulation this particular cycle. Did the hospital or clinic where you're at do closely monitored follicle tracking?. Did they also check your LH and FSH this cycle; these are probably also awry if progesterone is low.

How long do they intend to use such injectible drugs for and have they talked to you about other possible forms of treatment like laparoscopic ovarian diathermy if PCOS is indeed the dx?.

If PCOS is the issue IVF should only be tried after all other treatment avenues have failed. PCOS patients have a high risk of ovarian hyperstimulation so IVF should be used with caution in PCOS patients.

I've been in treatment for 18 months with the clinic. In that time dh has had 4 seman analysis I've had 7 rounds of clomid and lap and dye plus diathermy and this was my 2nd round of injectables gonal f and ovitrelle the 1st round and gonal f and pregnyl the second time. I've had the progesterone test done but no other hormone levels but like u said I know they would be all over the place and yes, I've been monitored every 3-5 days with transvaginal ultrasounds

Nurse said they like to see 17mm or more to be sure there's an egg I had one at 17mm, 2 at 19mm and one at 21mm

I spoke to the doc on Friday (he and nurses were all baffled at such a low level) just said to let them know when AF came then they would decide what to do... So I don't know what they will do next, surely more injectables would be pointless if it has failed twice... My particular clinic limit the injectable cycles to 3

Still no sign of AF who the hell knows what is going on... I have no clue and the docs don't seem to either

Hi pink, I don't have anything very helpful to add except to say that exactly the same thing happened to me last cycle. I was on second cycle 50mg Clomid. I had the trigger when the scan showed a nice 18mm follicle. 7dpo test came back a pathetic 3 and I was devastated. I was so confused and so was the nurse but the consultant was pretty laid back about it, his advice was either up the Clomid or try injectibles. We've gone for 100mg Clomid and will see how that goes.

Yea your sounding positive tho I was awful on clomid I had 9 pointless cycles 8 and then 1 after a lap diathermy. I didn't ovulate on any of them and clearly the trigger isn't working well see
