Question about HSG test next week

Hi all,

I haven't posted in here before but I hope someone can help me. I have an HSG test scheduled for next Wednesday - and only stopped having a 2 month period last Friday. However I've started bleeding again today. I've waited long enough for this test and don't want to delay it again - can I still have it if I'm bleeding on the day? Or should I 'cheat' and take the Pill for a few days?

hmmm, tbh, I would call your consultant for advice!

as Lissie said, phone your consultant or even the radiology dept for clarification.

As far as I'm aware though they won't do it if your still bleeding. I think it increases the risk of infection and also means the results might not be as clear.
I had mine done a week ago and they were very firm that I had to have stopped bleeding.
