FET

Today I am having an FET.

We had 3 embryos, one survived defrosting and will be implanted around 3pm.

I am absolutely terrified this won't work. It's our last go after 3 failed ICSI attempts, and my last chance to become pregnant.

Please cross your fingers and pray for me. The next two weeks until I can test are going to be the hardest of my life.

Hope that the lines get darker for you! Do keep us updated.

Well I've been on a mission, finally got hold of a First Response test from Boots (yes, I know they all check the same thing, but I wanted THIS brand)
Unfortunately all the sets of 2 were sold out - must be a load of ttcers locally with the same pee-stick obsession as me. So I've purchased an individual test, and am sitting on my hands until tomorrow morning.

Friends round tonight, normally with this couple we get quite alcoholic. I'm not entirely sure how I am going to cope, being as I still feel icky/tired and will definitely not be drinking. DH says he will suggest cocktails, and then just make me a virgin one without saying anything. After that it's my acting skills.

Thanks Stitching Faith ducksinarow and everyone else for the support and positive wishes so far. I'm still keeping everything crossed for a darker line tomorrow.

Congratulations!!!!

Congrats, I had the faintest line in the world even at 4 weeks pregnant (plus bleeding!) and my 14-month-old son is asleep upstairs now as a result :)

delilahbelle · 24/09/2011 23:45

Having a bit of a late night freak out. Really don't feel even the slightest bit pregnant. Looking at the test again, my super faint line looks more like an evap line than anything else. Boobs now not sore at all, achey cramps gone, and the sickness/not fancying food thing I have suddenly realised could be done to my vitamin tablets not agreeing with me.

So now I have to force myself to go to sleep and pray that I get a decent line on my First Response test tomorrow. I don't feel hopeful. :(

Ok the fact that the line remains suggests it is a line. Just try to relax and get some sleep. We'll all be here for you in the morning come what may.

delilahbelle · 25/09/2011 07:43

Definitely a BFN :(

Tested again with FMU and not even an evap line on the First Response. And my pre AF symptoms are increasing.

Obviously gutted - this was our last chance of having our own baby.
I just hope that my period starts quickly. I am actually slightly amazed at the number of symptoms I had, obviously all psychosomatic.

Trying to stay positive(!) we can look into adoption next year, and DH starts a new job in a few weeks so this wouldn't have been an ideal time anyway.

:(

PLease don't give up! You are only 11DPtransfer - leave it for now and test again on the day they gave you. I tested at 11,12,13 and 14 got a BFN on FR and tested on day 16 at the clinic with a CB and was positive.

OracleInaCoracle · 25/09/2011 09:20

exactly what pamplemousse said. it aint over til the red lady lifts her skirt and shows you her arse!

MysteriousHamster · 25/09/2011 14:14

A line is a line is a line - it may well be that the new tests aren't as sensitive as the first one you took. Even batches of the same test can be different. You are far too early on to expect a result on every test. Best of luck for the next few days.

StitchingMoss · 25/09/2011 18:19

Oh delilah Sad, this is the nightmare of early testing isn't it? Sad

Please wait and test again and try not to lose hope yet. Thinking of you x

delilahbelle · 26/09/2011 06:58

AF is here. Well, at least she's prompt. Few tears last night, had a good cuddle with DH, he really is lovely. Very busy with work and social life this week at least, so no time to brood.

I'm not going to be posting on this thread anymore, think I will move back to the hut x
