That made me feel sick - that poor poor baby

The judge has got it wrong here - totally. Can't believe he has accepted that argument, that it was misguided.

Judge fucks up - what a suprise.

Plus I would have to say, I would question that guys motives and have him grilled by a pscyhologist before sentencing. Got to be more to it that a mistake. How can a judge decide if there was a sexual or sadistic motive without expert opinion.

He was the father of the baby. You can read the judgment here if you are interested in the judge's thinking: www.scotcourts.gov.uk/opinions/2010HCJ10.html

He was assessed by a clinical psychologist who felt that the risk of reoffending was low, and that there was no sexual motive (no other motive was offered though for his multiple odd/stupid/unforgivable actions, the initial sticking of the wipe up the bum, not telling his wife what he'd done when the wipe was no longer visible, attempting to pull out the wipe with his finger whilst rupturing the baby's bowel, not telling anyone he'd done that, and finally not telling anyone when the baby was in hospital and very ill) the judge seems to think that the social workers were all terribly biased against the man, and that they were very wrong to remove both children and restrict access (seems fairly normal after a near fatal assault).
