news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8693732.stm

I'm watching 'This Morning' and they are talking about this. Much seems to be being made about the fact that Marie Stopes provide abortions, and very little focus is being given to all the other services they provide. The ad airs on monday, no one has seen it yet, but that doesn't stop some people ranting about 'advertising abortions' Personally, I don't have a problem with Marie Stopes advertising their helpline number.

The advert is here www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/may/24/marie-stopes-abortion-services-ad if you'd like to look at it

Mary Stopes was a lifeline to me when my doctor refused to refer me for an NHS abortion on the grounds of religion (his not mine)

I like the advert, not even half as shocking as the press has made out.

Interesting and heartening to see that most of us Mums - who have been through preganancy and childbirth - are naturally generous and know that lack of information and being alone are a potential nightmare that we would not wish on any young woman. Also we know how vital it is that a child is wanted and will be loved. Marie Stopes has a long and proven track record - it is not just about termination (remember that most abortions occur naturally so it is an incorrect word to use here). We are becoming more civilised and caring and I feel proud to be part of this society.

I don't think this ad should be on tv. Why not advertize contraception instead.

I'm pro-life and didn't see anything offensive about the ad, thought it was quite sensitive.
