So very sad...the author of Poppy Cat has died. here

Can we all say a prayer for her...she was a mumsnetter, and a lovely one at that.

I would bet that most of us have at least one of her books on our shelves.

Poppy Cat's Farm was the first storybook my daughter ever owned.

Is that the one with the magnets? They are brill aren;t they

what a legacy she has left.

I dont know the books as my DCs are much older but my heart goes out to her parents and also her own husband and DCs.

For her two girls to have lost their mummy at such a young ages is tragic beyond words.

RIP Lara.

How tragic. We love Poppy Cat - we used to read Goodnight Poppy Cat to dd every single night when she was small.
