I find her unbearable all that dog talk and name dropping tedious and self involved
althou I am and shure it wasn't a picnic

She's the one who's been going on about her daughter's wedding??? I can't warm to her either.

actually i had forgotten the dog talk - yes, that's a bit ott. But as an anatomy of a broken marriage, it's poignant, no?

I used to love her, but when my dd was a tiny baby I was having lunch with some other mum friends in a very relaxed cafe and she was there with some very 'ladies who lunch' women and they were so horrible and sniffy and she made a loud comment about why do people feel the need to take their babies to restaurants with them. DD was only a couple of weeks old and I was just getting the confidence to be out and about with her, breastfeeding in public etc and it made me feel really stressed and sad. Not very sisterhood of her either I thought.

She's incredibly pretentious and it seems she'd drop husband no. 2 in a shot if she could get Dimbleby back.

And she pissed me off with her remark about inter-country adopters being "desperate" and questioning our morals.

That story has put me right off her Tikkabillajive.

I do feel sorry for her regarding her marriage breakup but, sadly, these things happen.

I think that all accounts of (involuntary) breakdowns in relationships are desperately sad, but I question the need - presumably a book advance - for this public display and yes, the name dropping and so on gives an impression of yet another public figure with an inflated notion of their own importance. How could this happen to me ?? etc etc. She lost her husband, but unlike many women in that situation, had plenty of money left, a nice house to buy and so forth.
