Fat mummies sit there in front of the television with their chip packets and say skinny models are ugly," says Lagerfeld. Is he BU?

From this article

I think it is a hilarious comment - obviously extremely offensive, very stereotypical - really horrible - but is there a grain of truth in it?? For me, it would be more truthful if it said "fat mummies sit in front of their laptop" but other than that...

Anyhow, - an 8 foot size 12 is surely the same proportion as a 5.5ft size 4?

He probably just wants to sell more copies of his stupid diet book!

BariatricObama · 28/03/2010 16:34

he had a diet book!

rule no. 1 and attach wheels ot embalmed body

ShadeofViolet · 28/03/2010 16:37

here

The book includes recipes for dishes such as fish soufflé, quail flambé, ham and raspberry mousse, vegetables in aspic, and roast guinea fowl with tarragon

If dieters do feel peckish?at 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day this is a very real prospect?they should not despair. "You can have a little homeopathic granule if you are very hungry," Lagerfeld says indulgently.

See - Prize Cock!

Crazycatlady · 28/03/2010 16:46

He's not BU. I'm a fat mummy (size 12 but carrying too much body fat which I'm trying to shift...) and yes, I think most skinny models are ugly. I'm not eating chips though!

Some middle ground would be nice. Elle magazine would have done better to find itself some models who are fit and strong looking - those models are carrying too much abdominal fat which IMO is almost as bad as featuring unhealthily skinny ones. Zest and Health & Fitness mags seem to get it right.

You haven't seen my thighs Riven .

Actually, you are right, but my proportion of body fat is too high for my height/weight, so I need to get rid, and get myself some more muscle tissue instead to have any hope of looking decent in clothes again!

JollyPirate · 28/03/2010 16:59

KL for example is a twat.

FalafelAtYourFeet · 28/03/2010 17:03

I'll tell you who is like a fat KL- Dennis Basso.

'Oh my God, that metallic trench is so fabulous'

I love love love Dennis Basso- I have his QVC show on series record (along with Quacker factory) and it always makes me giggle.

SuSylvester · 28/03/2010 17:13

they have a point though
there is no need to be over a 14

BuzzingNoise · 28/03/2010 17:14

Of course there is a need. I call it pizza and wine

SuSylvester · 28/03/2010 17:15

that is greed
you cant complain clothes dont fit you and anyone slim is ugly then can you.

as liz hurley says,
its a choice

biscuits or jeans

FalafelAtYourFeet · 28/03/2010 17:17

I agree.

Calories-exercise = fatness or otherwise.

Simples.

SuSylvester · 28/03/2010 17:17

eek

< does noise>

FalafelAtYourFeet · 28/03/2010 17:18

What is the noise for?

BuzzingNoise · 28/03/2010 17:19

I don't complain. I buy bigger clothes

I choose biscuits over jeans anyday (although I wear jeans, so I don't really see that they exclude one another as a choice)

SuSylvester · 28/03/2010 17:19

thats what the meerkat does

FalafelAtYourFeet · 28/03/2010 17:20

Well its not a good rendition. Sorry.

Clarissimo · 28/03/2010 17:25

Fat mummy goes to the gym three times a week, makes sure she gets exercise on other days (long walk around community farm with a play in the aprk today) and is less fat than she was six weeks ago when she started. And has a significantly lower pulse rate too.

So

BuzzingNoise · 28/03/2010 17:30

Good for you, Clarissimo! Well done
