"War" on baby girls?

I was wondering if anybody else had seen this:

It just makes me feel so sad and helpless (and want to clutch my daughters protectively)

I hadn't seen that and it is both interesting and horrible. Good that it suggests a way forward.

It's been going on in certain cultures for years and is part of the reason why many hospitals here don't divulge the gender of the foetus when doing routine pregnancy scans.
