It's just so tragic, that they saw the bag for hours, but never thought to properly look inside it and by the time they did, it was too late.

I think that the mother intended the baby to be found - leaving him outside a shop.

Should we not have those baby posting things outside hospitals and other places, like some other countries do? It would prevent tragic deaths.

To be honest, drop points could really only work in big towns and cities.

That village has a population of less than a thousand people, so probably a lot of people will know the person who gave birth to him even if they didn't realise she was preganant. I suspect the 14 year old who found him will need a lot of support
