link to Daily mail story with typical stupid Daily Mail comments like 'why don't we take babies off single mums and give them to the childless' ...

Anyway - waddaya think? Probably won't be any good for me as I am old and might not be allowed to have another round of IVF after this one, but on the other hand it will make it cheaper for those of us who can't get it free on the NHS.

Dail Mail have got facts wrong though, they seem to think the NHS offers three rounds of free IVF - AS IF!!

Actually i think you read that wrong.

They said

'Although primary care trusts are supposed to provide three free cycles, a post-code lottery means 71 per cent of primary care trusts fund only one or two, leaving women to pick up the cost of further treatment.'

They do where i am, so not wrong.

I can't see why this would be a bad thing tbh.

Ah - I was reading their fact box on the side which says

"But the NHS usually only offers patients up to three cycles if a woman is under 40.

This is due to the huge costs involved as around 3.5million people in Britain suffer infertility at some point in their lives - putting huge financial pressures on the system."

but I did get it a bit wrong.

NHS in Wales only used to offer 1 round and are upping it to 2 from April. NICE guidelines say 3 should be offered.

I think it's a good idea too.

some of the comments are awful!
