Tories over-state teen pregnancy rate by factor of 10

muppets.

?A decimal point was left out in a calculation. It makes no difference at all to the conclusions of a wide-ranging report which shows that Labour have consistently let down the poorest in Britain,?

I really hope they're not so loose and free with decimal points with they take over the Exchequer if/when they win the election.

A factor of ten in my favour on all my bills would be appreciated

But it does make you wonder if it would be better if the Monster Raving Loony party was in power instead.

Exactly SGM, they bandied around a figure of 54% and obviously most of them thought "yes that sounds about right, must be right". Talk about out of touch. I wish the BBC or whoever would get a historian on and ask them to nail down the figures from the past 1,000 years about exactly how many teenagers were getting pregnant out of wedlock over that time - I think the tories might discover it has actually fallen.

And if they did want to reduce teen pregnancies, the answer, as study after study has shown, is more and better and earlier sex education and education to counteract sexism and teenage girls being bullied into having unprotected sex and thinking they have to comply or else boys won't like them. THAT is the problem not some vague "broken britain" concept.

I loved this interview with Sky's Tim Marshall on Sunday.

If you don't want to watch the whole thing, the highlights are:

2.25 when Tory Boy gets so angry even his chin starts to sweat at being called one of 'a bunch of Tory Toffs'.

At 3.50 watch him get peevish when persistently asked about Lord Ashcroft's tax status.

And at 4.47 a light suddenly goes out which I took to be a sign that God isn't a Tory.

I love Tim Marshall. He's the only reason I watch Sky.

Hope the link works

Drat. It works if you cut and paste though.
