I know Blu (very kindly) offered on another thread to pick up anyone's children in South London if any MN'er couldn't get out of the city . Just a thought a thread devoted purely to those who would either

a) Be able to help pick up children from school/nursery

b) Need someone to pick their children up for them.

would be a good idea.

I wouldn't tell the school it was someone off the internet. But I'd have no problem with someone I only knew from here picking up DS1 if I had no other options. (Also, it's worth noting, quite a few of us have met up in person, anyway.)

I know what you mean. I would guess schools will stay open and make arrangements for children not collected etc. But its fab so many people want to help.

I saw on the news that the police had liased with the LEA's to make provision for children to remain in school if need be.

The boys at DH school {senior} are not allowed to leave unless they are being collected by car

Lots of them go home alone on the tube into london

So sure that is what is happening for those boys
