100 yr old woman murdered by her 98yr old room mate

I am shocked beyond all belief about this
How could the home the two old ladies lived in, have allowed them to stay in the same room together if the disliked each other that much.

I'm not sure what to think about this, if she did kill her then i think the nursing home should bear some responsibility as their standard of care must have been poor.

I suppose it is possible that at 98 they woman had some kid iff detioration in mental health so isnt fully responsible, hence being assessed now.

Must be awful for the dead womans family, to live to 100 then have such a violent death.

Oh gosh. What a strange and sad tale.
