Been on You-tube this morning and the data leak is starting to cause trouble.
Obama is going to Coppenhagen soon, they will have to mention this.
Sorry not good with links but if you input:
Hide the decline- climategate
On You-tube then there is a little cartoon that explains it

I don't know what to think now, looks like we might have been hoodwinked.

They are going to need a very big shovel to hide this story by the end of winter ; )

Anywhere were we can read the leaked e mails for ourselves?

Although even if I could read them having worked in IT for many years I wouldn't believe an e mail unless I was watching over someones shoulder when it was written.

I also think the world is changed by mans existence, and cannot fail to be. Even just based purely on the size of the population.

The floods of last week happened because water has no where to go anymore. Everyone has drive ways instead of front gardens. Any fields where water would have soaked into are covered with houses etc. etc.

So to be honest not going to ignore the issue of climate concerns based on this leak.

I imagine the world in cycles of great change particularly related to the climate/temperature and that these changes happen with or without what we are up to, and these changes will happen over hundreds/thousands/millions of years.
Perhaps we accelerate things and destroy things (v likely)

summary of emails

searchable data

I haven't looked at any of this properly so no idea if the stuff is authentic etc

I think it is a real problem that climate change is being challenged like this. Whether or not man-made climate change is the reality, we cannot continue to live as if there are endless resources.

The realities are that there will be global food shortages within the decade, it is doubtful that another green revolution will happen to feed the 9 billion mouths there will be on Earth by 2050. There will also be global water shortages, the aquifers under parts of China are empty. We are poisoning our surroundings with intensive agriculture. We are pumping so much shite into our river systems that fish are changing sex. We are over-fishing to the degree that pretty soon the only things left in the ocean will be squid and algae blooms. We are putting so much pressure on the ecosystem that lots of amazing and irreplaceable animals are going to become extinct.

If climate change is the catalyst that makes us all become a little less selfish and wasteful then it is a good thing.
